🐾 Another Heartbreaking Case of Animal Cruelty in Spain

Agents from the Nature Protection Patrol (PACPRONA) of the Spanish Guardia Civil have arrested a man suspected of three counts of animal abuse and one count of making threats after allegedly shooting five dogs with a hunting shotgun.

The investigation began after several dogs were reported missing by their owners nearly two years ago. During a search of a rural property in the La Sagra region (Toledo), officers discovered the skeletal remains of four dogs buried beneath tons of manure.

Investigators also recovered part of a dog's skull containing shotgun pellets, confirming the animals had been shot.

Thanks to the recovered microchips, investigators were able to identify two of the victims. The dogs included:

  • 🐕 Two German Shepherds
  • 🐺 Two Siberian Huskies
  • 🐾 One mixed-breed dog

Four of the five dogs had officially been reported missing by their owners.

During the investigation, authorities also seized:

  • 🔫 Three shotguns
  • 🔫 One rifle
  • 🔫 One carbine
  • 🔫 One pistol

The investigation was supported by forensic specialists from the Guardia Civil and a taxidermy expert from the province of Toledo.
